On this program, you will develop your knowledge of agriculture through engagement with the local farming culture, while using your knowledge and skills to contribute towards the long-term objective of improving quality education in the community.
You will engage with local school communities through the design and facilitation of educational activities and work towards establishing a community garden project that will support the school’s supplementary food program. You will be challenged to think and act beyond your comfort zone, working with the resources available and using non-verbal communication methods to engage the learners. Through this immersive engagement and learning experience, you will open the door to Global Citizenship and contribute to positive change.
You will also participate in a unique cultural and knowledge exchange with agronomy professionals. This will include an experiential study tour component that will provide insights into local farming culture and practises.
